Alexandria, Dekkeila ports still closed over bad weather

The Alexandria Port Authority decided on Sunday to keep Dekheila and Alexandria straits for the second day in row due to bad weather conditions.

Wind speed reached more than 30 knots and waves exceeded three meters.

The straits are closed to avoid ship collision and to guarantee the safety of navigation, chairman of the Alexandria Port Authority Medhat Attiya said.

Moderate rains have been pouring over Alexandria as of Saturday with temperature degrees falling down.
