Till now, dredgers in new Suez Canal lifted 177.7 million square meters of water-saturated sand which represents 68.9 percent of the sand to be lifted.

In statements on Thursday, executive director of the dredging works in new Suez Canal Wagdy Zaky said 39 dredgers in the venture managed to lift 1.397 million square meters of water-saturated sand on Wednesday.

As many as 23 dredgers affiliated to the UAE Belgium Dutch coalition lifted 128.642 million square meters of sand, he underscored.
