Israel will not hand over the body of a Palestinian behind a deadly Jerusalem car attack for burial Sunday, police said, blaming the family for refusal to accept its terms.
Abdelrahman Shaludi, the 21-year-old shot dead after killing two people with his car on Wednesday, was to have been buried in a ceremony attended by 20 people, according to conditions set by a court.
But the Shaludi family had "refused to receive the body and conduct a funeral" under these conditions, Israeli police said.
"The family's refusal doesn't enable releasing the terrorist's body," said a police statement.
