The close of UN climate talks in Lima, blocked by a standoff between rich and developing nations on the underpinnings of an historic carbon-cutting pact, was officially postponed by several hours on Saturday.
The negotiations were to have finished by 6:00 pm (2300 GMT) Friday, but spilled into the small hours, prompting the secretariat to announce via Twitter that a closing plenary meeting will now "take place... at 10:00 am Saturday morning."
