Fifteen people have been reported killed as Egyptian security forces try to disperse pro-Morsi sit-ins in Cairo, eyewitness told Reuters on Wednesday morning. Supporters of Egypt’s ousted president Mohammed Morsi say Egyptian authorities have begun an operation to disperse their protest camps at Rabaa al-Adawiya and Nahda Square. The BBC reported on that an armoured bulldozer was making its way towards the sit-in outside the Rabaa al-Adawiya mosque. Police have cut off side streets and gunfire has been heard. Authorities in Egypt have issued several warnings to the Islamist demonstrators to end the protests, and on Sunday police officials said security forces would besiege the two camps within 24 hours.
