“The Shadow Upstream” (published by Xlibris

Author Angela Menking presents her beliefs on the nature of the universe and human existence through her new novel, “The Shadow Upstream” (published by Xlibris).

“The Shadow Upstream” centers on a girl called Emily, who pens the introduction of the book after her death. She now lives in Paradise where her nerves and body have been restored.
Emily is able to see the past, present, and future, and she has access to the files of the universe. She discusses the nature of reality, human origins, and several discoveries in science and consciousness. Emily also reveals details of her last few years on Earth.
Through her book, Menking aims to break barriers that she believes holds readers back from achieving their true potential. She hopes readers will enjoy Emily’s childlike wonder, as well as the high novelty of the language.
An excerpt from “The Shadow Upstream:”
“I died in a stupid car accident on my way to a kooky meeting about clouds. I felt refreshed, having played lots of tennis lately. My pulse was gardeny. My mind in hyperspace, like the world at that time. A speeding up and concrescence of everything. Wondrous things. A designer human, photon physics, and space archeology. The Age of Terror, of course.”
