Qatar Museums to Launch Exhibition on Start of Islamic Art on March 15

Qatar Museums will hold next week an exhibition that reveals the connection between three major dynasties that marked the start of Islamic art in its latest exhibition, Imperial Threads: Motifs and Artisans from Turkey, Iran and India. 
The exhibition will take place from March 15 to November 4 at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA). It will highlight the cultural interaction, artistic influence and materials exchanged between the Ottoman, Safavid, and Mughal empires, primarily from the 16th-18th centuries. It will also Focus on carpets, manuscripts, metalwork and ceramics, other objects are also featured in this exhibition to comprehensively illustrate the historical and artistic background of this time. 
The MIA is one of the landmarks of Doha and is considered one of the most prominent Islamic museums in the world. Its collection contains Islamic art from three continents over 1,400 years.
