The Ministry of Culture seeks to hold a book fair in every city and village nationwide, said Minister of Culture Helmi Al Namnam.

A book fair will be held in Damanhour on March 10 every year, Namnam said in response to a question raised by MENA reporter.

The remarks were made during a press conference with Behira Governor Mohamed Sultan in the inauguration of Cairo International Book fair in Damanhour. 

A fair will be held in Desouk and then in Sohag and Luxor, he added.

He stressed the importance of the ministry's role to provide cultural services for ordinary citizens and provide all means and environment for intellectuals.
