Orchestras from Japan, Austria, Sweden and Tunisia performed Wednesday at Cultural Palace Moufdi Zakaria on the penultimate night of the 5th International Symphonic Music Festival. “Tokyo Ensemble,” represented by a pianist with the harmonic support of a violinist, bassoonist and oboist, performed a programme combining the purity of universality to Eastern perfumes of the land of the rising sun. “MozARTE Quintet,” representing Austria, the female chamber orchestra chose for its programme a musical suite wisely played, showing a technical mastering, musical maturity and dexterity in the gesture. The Sweden, represented by “Stenhammar Quartet” preferred the deepening of melodies to sonorities spaced in the feminine minor tonalities and the high tone of major modes, combining insurance and serenity. The conductor of the Tunisian symphonic orchestra, wrapping up this seventh night of the festival, dedicated his performance to the memory of Zoheir Belhani, a violinist with the orchestra who passed away last week.
