International Arab Calligraphy Festival

The sixth International Arab Calligraphy Festival, which took place at the National Museum of Miniature, illumination and Calligraphy of Algiers, wrapped up Saturday by the awarding of prizes to winners of this edition, marked by the participation of 22 countries.
Algerian calligrapher Abdelkrim Bouraada received the first prize of classical calligraphy while the second and third went to Gholami Hussein (Iran) and Benbouabdallah Mohamed (Algeria) respectively.
In contemporary calligraphy, Iranian calligrapher Ineddine Saddek Zadeh won the first prize While Algerian calligraphers Laid Tayeb and Khaled Sebagh won the second and the third prizes.
Two encouragement prizes in classical and contemporary calligraphy were given to Egyptian Salah Mahmoud Abdelkhalek and Algerian Boudouda Aissa.
