Electronic music festival 100 Live is returning for the eighth year with a diverse line-up of local and international musicians working in electro-shaabi music, psychedelic folk, and other alternative music forms.
The festival will take place at the Rawabet Theatre in Downtown Cairo on Friday 6 June and Saturday 7 June.
On the festival's first day, the programme includes psychedelic folk band Invisible Hands, an electronica band dubbed Bikya, electronic musician Neobyrd, and electronic DJ duo Wetrobots <3 Bosiana.
International musicians will feature in the festival's second day, which will kick off with a performance by Machinefabrick, a musician and sound artist from The Netherlands.
The event is being organised by 100Copies Music, and supported by the British Council, the Dutch Embassy, SceneNoise, Garaad, Dandin.me, and Rawabet Theatre.
100Copies Music is an independent music label that started in 2006 in Cairo to create a network for experimental musicians.
