Even after 50 years, Iran will return its assets frozen in the United States, and if necessary, by force, Iranian Armed Forces official Masud Jazairi said, the Iranian IRNA news agency reported on Tuesday. \"The freezing of Iranian assets is economic terrorism and looting people\'s property. Unfortunately, the U.S. is successful in this field of terrorism, as well as in other areas,\" Jazairi said. If the U.S. thinks that it froze the assets of the Iranian people, they are mistaken, Jazairi noted. \"Let them be assured that we will return these assets,\" Jazairi added. American regime will return assets of Iran with interest, Jazairi said. Relations between Iran and the United States were severed after the seizure of the U.S. embassy in Tehran after the Islamic Revolution. After that, U.S. President Jimmy Carter signed an executive order on the application of new sanctions against Iran. The order also resulted in the freezing of all Iranian assets in the U.S. Each year, the U.S. confirms this order.
