The National Hurricane Center issued a tropical storm warning Sunday for the southwest coast of Mexico as tropical storm Dalila makes its way north. As of 5 a.m. local time Sunday, the tropical storm was situated 240 miles west southwest of Acapulco, and 285 miles south southeast of Manzanillo, the center said. Dalila has maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour and was heading north at 10 miles per hour. The storm was expected to make a turn toward the north northwest later Sunday and a turn toward the northwest Monday. A tropical storm warning was issued for the southwest coast of Mexico from Punta San Telmo to Manzanillo, meaning storm conditions are expected in the area within 36 hours. The Hurricane Center issued a tropical storm watch for the coast from north of Manzanillo to La Fortuna, meaning storm conditions are expected within 48 hours.
