Ten people were killed and 22 others injured late Sunday when a bus collided with a tractor- trailer in western Algeria, local media reported on Monday. The accident happened in the locality of Hassi Messaoud in Ouargla province, 800 km southeast of Algiers. Authorities are investigating what caused the collision. Official figures show that road accidents kill more than 3,000 people every year. In 2012, 3,737 people were killed and 48,875 others were injured.
