A home-made bomb went off Wednesday night in Tawabiq area of Faisal Street in the Giza governorate's district of Haram, said a security source of the interior ministry.

A combing operation has been started to search for any possible bombs in the area, said the source.

The blast scene was cordoned off.

No casualties were immediately reported.
