Egyptian MP Yahia Kedwani

Egyptian parliamentarian Yahia Kedwani expressed sympathy with the Egyptian citizen, saying that he is besieged with burdens. He called the government for giving the priority to the interests of the Egyptian citizen before taking the difficult decisions.

He revealed that the parliament considers amending the laws to change the ways to choose the mayors of Egypt’s villages, saying that the change will not extend to the social pillars in this regard. He added that the parliament turns to support the young citizens for taking such position, saying that the citizen could run for this position at 25.

He added that the proposed amendments would perform a major role to activate the role of mayors in Egypt, saying that the young people have the opportunity in all over the world to take the leading positions. He stressed that such a step could pave the way for further measures aiming to empower Egypt’s youth in the near future.

He added that the terrorist attacks witnessed recently in Sinai are the main concern of the parliament during the recent period, saying that they held a number of meetings and summoned the experts to discuss the ways to resolve this crisis.

He added that the recent attacks on Arish’s Christians came to reflect the state of frustration dominating the terrorist group existed in Sinai, refusing the attempts to provide a sectarian cover to the incidents against the Egyptian Christian in Sinai, saying that the terrorist groups target all Egyptians.

The Egyptian parliamentarian expressed his confidence in the new minister of supply, saying that the whole sector suffers from imbalance. He stressed that the government should take the decision supporting the Egyptian citizen during the current critical conditions witnessed in the country.

He added that the government also suffers from deficit, saying that it should take serious measure to ensure the delivery of subsidies to the citizens deserving them. He also called the citizens to cooperate with the government to overcome the current critical period.
