Uzbek wrestler Soslan Tigiev has been stripped of the bronze medal he won at the London Olympics after a positive drug test, Olympics officials said Wednesday.
The International Olympic Committee, in a release, said Tigiev was tested after his match Aug. 10 and the sample came up positive for methylhexaneamine, a prohibited substance.
Tigiev won the bronze medal in the 74kg class in London. The third-place finish was changed to Hungarian wrestler Gabor Hatos, who will be given the bronze medal.
