The Local Organising Committee, LOC, of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017 has invited U-12 teams from UAE football clubs and academies to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017 Mobile Roadshow this Saturday, 21st October.

The tournament will take place in Zayed Sports City, ZSC, in Abu Dhabi, one of the UAE’s best in class stadiums that will be hosting the world's top seven clubs from 6th to 16th December for the 14th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup.

"Our aim, since launching the Mobile Roadshow back in May, is to engage the UAE community in one of the greatest football tournaments on this year's international calendar," said Aref Hamad Al Awani, Tournament Director of the LOC.

"We have seen thousands of participants take part in the Mobile Roadshow across the UAE and we are delighted to host a selection of the UAE’s budding football stars to compete and test their football skills, in what is set to be an exciting and memorable competition."

The teams competing on 21 October, from 4pm till 6pm opposite gate 29 in ZSC, will be testing their skills across several skill-based games and six social experiences, which are individually measurable to test participants' football abilities.

"We are committed to promoting an active and healthy lifestyle in the UAE and nothing inspires that more than hosting some of the most prestigious sports events in the world. The FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017 will see some of the world’s greatest clubs competing and inspiring the next generation of football players here in the UAE," Al Awani added.

The FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017 Mobile Roadshow is touring the UAE’s schools, malls, public parks, encouraging local communities to get active. The Mobile Roadshow is scheduled to visit various locations across the country in the build up to the tournament that will kick-off on 6th December.

Commenting on the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017, FIFA legend Mikael Silvestre said, "When FIFA chooses a host country, it’s because they know that the infrastructure, organisation and fans are of the top level. This tournament is growing, just look at the media attention. It’s growing in the best way. I think there is more out there in football, but this competition means a lot because it’s the winners of the winners, the best of the best. I think the fans in the UAE will be lucky to witness this competition and appreciate all the clubs’ different styles of football."
