A Muslim referee from Senegal stopped a game mid-match to break his Ramadan fast.
Ousseynou Gueye brought a temporary halt to proceedings 30 minutes into the match between Casa Sport and Yeggo, so that he could eat a snack and have a drink on the sidelines.
Despite being heckled from fans, Gueye refused to stop his snack break of dates and water.
He later told reporters: \"Legally, it is not possible to stop a match to break the fast. But you can enjoy a break in the game to meet a health need.
\"The human body needs water,\" he added.
