Marianne Vos of the Netherlands won the Olympic gold medal Sunday in the women\'s cycling road race. Vos outsprinted Elizabeth Armistead of Britain to the finish in a driving rainstorm. Armistead\'s silver was the first medal won by the host nation at the London Games. Olga Zabelinskaya of Russia took the bronze.
