Portugal star Tiago Mendes has signed with Atletico Madrid after terminating his contract with Juventus, the Spanish club said Wednesday. The 30-year-old midfielder, who has been on loan at Atletico since early 2010, signed a deal to play for the club for the next two seasons, the Primera Liga side said in a statement. It did not provide financial details. The one-time Chelsea player signed for Juventus from Lyon in 2007.
