Egyptian accessories designer Rawda al-Meihy

Egyptian accessories designer Rawda al-Meihy revealed her new collection of royal jewels for Mother's Day. "I designed new set of jewels called "The Magic of Queens," al-Meihy said.

Al-Meihy added, in interview with Arabs Today, that she traveled through time and went to the era of the pharaohs where the distinctive pharaonic designs, and quoted from their designs and symbols and made hand-made accessories with spirit of the Pharaonic era.

She also used turquoise stones and natural stone and moved to the Ottoman era, the era of Sultan Suleiman and the jewelry of Sultan Hiam.

She confirmed that the design has three stereoscopic units of forms inspired by Islamic decorations, which designed and executed manually to form the natural blue agate stones, in the same shape and texture.

"I traveled to India, to see their distinctive designs of attractive colors," the Egyptian designer said. "India inspired me to design a necklace of attractive colors and stones and it is fully hand-designed," she concluded.
