North Korea has accepted the South\'s flood aid proposal, officials said Monday. The North\'s response came a week after South Korea proposed talks on shipping relief goods to North Korea, Yonhap news agency reported. \"The North side informed [us] of its intention to accept flood aid [from the South Korean government] through a Red Cross channel at the Panmunjom truce village this morning,\" an official said on condition of anonymity. Hundreds of North Koreans died in recent heavy rain and flooding.
