Myanmar released the prominent comedian and dissident Zarganar from prison on Wednesday as part of a mass amnesty by the new leadership, his family said. "I have talked to him. He is free now," his sister-in-law Ma Nyein told AFP. It was not immediately clear how many other political detainees were freed under the amnesty, which was announced on Tuesday.
