Soldiers rescue landslide victims in Mocoa

At least 112 people were killed in a landslide in Mocoa, capital of Putumayo department in southern Colombia, said Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos on Saturday.

He said he had just been informed that 112 people were killed, warning the death toll could rise as the search for survivors went on.

Heavy rains caused rivers to overflow, devastating several neighborhoods in the provincial capital of Mocoa.

The country's fire department said earlier on Saturday that 102 people were killed and 185 wounded in the landslide.
