More than 75 percent of Dutch citizens support the monarchy in the country, according to a survey published in the Dutch media Monday. These are the results of a survey conducted among 500 Dutch citizens by the Synovate global research firm. More than 25 percent Dutch would prefer a more ceremonial role for the monarchy, compared to 50 percent who are happy to keep things the way they are, according to the Netherlands radio.
