Israeli troops fire at Palestinian fishermen, farmers in Gaza

Israeli gunboats opened fire on Thursday at Palestinian fishing boats in the sea off the coast of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli troops also opened random fire at Palestinian peasants east of Khan Yunis.

No casualties were reported.

Under the Oslo accord signed in 1993, fishing is allowed 20 miles off the enclave.

According to official figures, there are 3,500 fishermen in the Gaza Strip.
