Sudanese oil minister Makkawi Awad

The Minister of Petroleum Engineer Makkawi Mohamed Awad has stressed that they have been every possible effort to increase oil production and to attract investors.
He reiterated full confidence in the capabilities and capacities of the Sudanese cadres working in the oil sector to realize the desire objectives.
The minister said, during a visit he paid Monday to the premises of PETRODAR Company, that Sudan possesses a good infrastructure in terms of utilities and well-trained human resources, stressing concern of his ministry to remove all barriers facing the workers and investors in the oil sector.
Engineer Awad explained that increase in oil production would contribute directly to alleviation of living burdens on the citizens, referring to the importance of preservation of the status, which accompanied oil extraction.
The Deputy Chairman of PETRODAR Company Engineer Mahmoud Abdal-Rahman extended inclusive explanation for the activity of the company, reviewing the efforts the company exerted in the field of social services at the areas of oil production, environment and safety.
