Singer Nicole Saba

Lebanese singer Nicole Saba revealed that she put the finishing touches on a new Egyptian-accented song entitled “I decided” written by Amir T3ema and composed by Amr Mostafa. In an interview with “Arabstoday”, Nicole said, “I filmed this song in Lebanon. it is directed by the Egyptian director, Yasser Samy , one of the professional directors who gives all due care and attention to the artistic content and I am so happy with such experience, which looks like a serious attempt to get rid of routine we suffer from in radio and television.”
“In this song, I am different in terms of appearance and content, which is a step towards change as it is the case with my artistic approach that rebels from time to time against routine while at the same time it keeps its privacy making it distinctive from all other works presented here and there, and my followers can totally realize this especially that I deal with a vital, yet youth style that needs progressive non-stop renewal. Thus, I work day and night in order to support my artistic life with such respects that sometimes seems to be not easy”, she added.
She also said, "Perhaps my attempt will urge others to change as some artists imitate each other and I am keen to present unusual art, rather I will not enter the studio any more, which is a decision I took since my artistic very beginning and I will not change it at all even there are temptations less difficult in terms of choice and execution. In other words, I will not change my strongly firm thinking”.
Moreover, she pointed out that there is a show available for her in the present time, which can gather her at the drama level with her husband, the Lebanese actor Youssef El khal, hinting that it is a joint Arab and Lebanese work produced by an Arab company but she still wants to make use of time in order to reach a joint decision with her life partner.
She clarified as saying, “Such decision needs patience especially that I will act with Youssef and I am supposed to have sufficient time in order to reach the final right decision taken with care and patience as such step involves big as well as unusual responsibility; we should consider the scenario text and its dimensions attentively and it is certain that we will meet together in an unusual work.”
In response to the criticism she has faced because of her choice of Arab drama works instead of Lebanese ones, she replied, “There is no need for critical views because I choose what is suitable for me. Sometimes, I do not find what I want in Lebanon while I find it in Lebanon. Is this reasonable to stop acting only as I do not find the appropriate work in my home country? Rather, this can never decrease my patriotism. However, it is intuitive to be ambitious especially that the Egyptian drama is widely spread while in Lebanon we have recently started upgrading our own drama.”
Nicole ended up saying, ”I am so proud of the Lebanese drama which is advanced with the available possibilities and I do not downgrade it but by chance I moved to work in Egypt when I presented the movie entitled “The Danish Experience” (Al-Tagroba Al-Danemarkeya) where I stared the other side of drama as well as cinema experiences. In other words, it is my fate where I met other Lebanese actresses and I am not the only one who did so”.
