The Security and Military Committee in its meeting on Saturday condemned the new camp erected by Houthis near Ministries of Interior, Electricity and Telecommunications in the central of the capital Sana'a.
The Houthi group started its escalation by setting up camps at the entrances of the capital Sana'a since the last week, which the committee considered a threat to the security of the homeland and citizens the public tranquility.
In its meeting, the security and military committee discussed the security developments resulting from the serious escalation by Houthis in the capital.
The committee considered besieging the capital Sana'a by armed camps at its entrances and the new camp in the central of the capital increases the complexity of the situation, holding Houthis responsible for this escalation and its implications and results.
The Houthis' recent escalation coincided with the arrival of a presidential committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ahmed bin Daghr to Saada province to meet with Abdul-Malik al-Houthi in order to contain the problem and discuss controversial issues, including lifting of the camps at the entrances to the secretariat of the capital.
