Security bodies at Minya Security Directorate launched a wide scale security campaign on Friday.
It was meant to enforce law and affirm the security presence ahead of the Eidul-Adha, due on Saturday.
Three suspects were arrested over charges of rioting, burning government buildings, inciting violence and protesting with no prior permission.
Firearms, drugs were seized, while 33 supply cases, and 1,757 traffic violations were recorded during the security campaign.
As many as 83 unlicensed motorcycles were also seized during the crackdown.
The campaign also resulted in putting into effect 1,118 judicial rulings.
