Head of the al-Wafd Party al-Sayyed al-Badawi met on Tuesday with Chairman of the Sudanese National Umma Party al-Sadiq al-Mahdi and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting took up the current situation in Sudan and the Egyptian-Sudanese relationship.
Al-Badawi hailed relations with Sudan, saying that the African country's stability would have a positive impact on Egypt and its national security.
For his part, the Sudanese politician praised the Egyptian active role in the region, urging an Egyptian - Sudanese - Libyan coordination to counter the surge of terrorism.
