A number of unidentified persons have cut a railroad extending to Edwa village, the hometown of former president Mohamed Morsi, in Sharqiya governorate.
They cut the train tracks between the village of Muslemiya and Hehya city, residents here said.
Train movement was halted along the Zagazig-Mansoura line as a result.
Security and railway authority officials rushed to the area and detected a 50cm cut.
A railroad technician was summoned to fix the problem and re-operate the train line.
