Chairman of the Egyptian National Railways Samir Nawar said a truck rammed into a freight train on Qabari-Marsa Matrouh road on Monday.
In statements, Nawar said the collision derailed the freight and forced a halt of the railway traffic on both tracks.
He also pointed out that the incident did not cause any injuries or damage, stressing that work is underway to resume the railway movement.
