Syrian army forced

The Syrian army forced the Al-Qaeda-linked militants to withdraw from two strategic regions in Ma'ret Al-Nouman.
The foreign-backed terrorists were pushed back from Vadi Al-Zeif and Al-Hamediya in the countryside of Ma'ret Al-Nouman on Monday.
Also in the past 24 hours, the Kurdish Popular Defense Committees regained control of Jazeh border town in Hasaka province.
The Kurdish popular forces took back Jazeh in the Northern parts of Hasaka province from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorist group.
Meantime, the Syrian armed forces launched large-scale operations against the strongholds of the rebels in Aleppo, claiming the lives of too many of them on Monday.
The army targeted gathering centers of the militants in a number of villages and towns in Aleppo and its countryside, including Arbid, al-Bab, al-Enzarat, Babens, al-Khalidiyeh, Aghyour and Maye, a military source said.
The militants were also targeted in Bustan al-Qasir and Salahuddin and a large number of them lost their lives.
A military source said that the army targeted militants' hideouts in al-Shaqeef, Kuroum Aziza, Tal Qarah, Tal Na’am, Tal Sha’eir, Qadi Askar and Bustan al-Qasser in the countryside of Aleppo.
The source added that Syrian soldiers killed scores of terrorists in Bustan al-Basha area. Terrorists Maher Mustafa Othman, Mohammed Ahmad al-Fares and Hassan Salah Saleh were identified among the dead.
The strongholds of rebels in Al-Zakwaniyeh and Khan al-Asal in the countryside of Aleppo were also stormed by the army.
Elsewhere, Syrian Army continued mop-operations against foreign-sponsored insurgents in the countryside of Deraa and Deir Ezuur, leaving a large number of them dead and wounded.A military source said that the hideouts of the rebels were stormed in a series of operations by the army in al-Hrak city, Izr’a crossroads, Khrab al-Shahem, al-Yadouda, Da’el and Enkhil in the countryside of Deraa.
Shariaa School, near SyriaTel building, al-Yarmouk School, al-Baneen School and the surrounding areas of al-Omari Mosque in Deraa were also cleared up.
A car was also destroyed with all rebels on board on al-Jabiyeh, Nawa road.
Meantime, the Syrian army killed the ISIL terrorists in al-Hwaika, al-Rushdieh, al-Ardi, al-Sina’a and al-Jbaileh in Deir Ezuur, destroying their weaponry and ammunition.
Hamza al-Afin and Nazir al-Hassan were identified among the killed terrorists.
Also, the Syrian army carried out a series of mop-up operations in Idlib countryside, killing a large number of foreign-backed militants in Baidar Shamso, Saraqib, Sarjeh and Ma’ret al-Nouman.
The army defused a number of explosive devices, which were set to be detonated remotely and planted in Tal Salmo village to the South of Abu Duhour Airport.
The Syrian army is gaining ground in its fight against Takfiri militants from the Al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front in the Golan Heights, reports said.
Heavy clashes erupted on Monday between the army and the foreign-backed militants over the control of the Quenitra crossing operated by the United Nations peacekeepers.
