The Sudanese authorities have released vice chairman of the opposing National Umma Party (NUP) Meriam Sadiq al-Mahdi.
The Sudanese security forces have arrested Meriam al-Mahdi due to her participation in the so-called Paris Declaration which signed between the NUP and the Sudanese Revolutionary Forces (SRF) abroad.
