Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir left here Sunday for Khartoum, after a two-day visit to Egypt, where he met with Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to discuss ways of boosting bilateral ties.
During the visit, Bashir extended thanks to Sisi for the warm hospitality he received.
He also affirmed the close ties between his country and Egypt.
Bashir, meanwhile, hailed Egypt's effective role in serving various Arab and African causes, especially those connected with Sudan.
The two presidents also discussed ways of fostering bilateral ties and increasing the volume of trade exchange, especially after the opening of the new Qastal-Ashkit border land crossing between Egypt and Sudan.
