Khartoum - KUNA
Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir called on conflicting parties in Libya Tuesday to unite towards a comprehensive political solution to ultimately achieve peace and stability.
Al-Bashir, during a meeting with visiting Libyan Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Theni, said Sudan was ready to contribute to national reconciliation and development in Libya, official SUNA news agency reported.
Al-Theni said his government was determined to seek a peaceful political solution for the conflict in Libya.
Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Karti, speaking to reporters after the meeting, said Al-Bashir and Al-Theni discussed a host of issues of mutual interest.
Libyan foreign Minister Mohammad Daeri said Al-Theni's visit to Khartoum aimed at brushing aside accusations that Khartoum was supporting extremist Libyan militias.
