The Chief Justice, Dr. Haidar Ahmed Dafa'alla, Thursday received in his office members of the National Elections Commission, led by the commission's Chairman, Dr. Mukhtar Al-Assam, and underscored the importance of establishing a joint mechanism to review any violations and to guarantee fair, honest and transparent elections.
The Chief Justice affirmed the Judiciary keenness to cooperate with the National Elections Commission and other judicial organs for guaranteeing fair elections.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the National Elections Commission, Dr. Jalal Mohamed Ahmed, has appreciated the role of the Judiciary and its organs in keeping justice and boosting fair elections.
