Sudan’s National Election Commission is considering measures for the participation of expatriates in the upcoming elections, says head of the commission Mukhtar Al-Asam.
In press statements on Friday, Asam said the NEC received a memo from the Secretary General of Secretariat of Sudanese Working Abroad on ways to ensure the participation of Sudanese expatriates.
The amended election law allows Sudanese expats to partake in the presidential election and to pick up half of parliament members.
