Sudanese police on Sunday dispersed hundreds of teachers and students in Al-Fashir, the largest city in the restive western Darfur region, Sudan Tribune reported.
Policemen used teargas to disperse the demonstrators who gathered at the city's main market to protest deteriorating school services and overdue salaries.
Teachers have staged a strike last week to pile pressures on the government to meet their demands.
