Sudan's national dialogue 7+7 committee has called for releasing all political detainees to start the comprehensive national dialogue process, which was launched by Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir in January.
Abboud Jaber, a member of the 7+7 committee, said on Friday that a report on the political detainees and press in Sudan will be submitted during a meeting of the mechanism committee Sunday for approval.
"The committee will keep contacting the bodies concerned to ensure the freedom of expression and publication," Jaber added.
