A sonic grenade exploded Tuesday over a bridge in Beni Mazar, Minya province, causing no casualties.
The bomb was planted on a bridge in Ashroba town.
Roads leading to the place were sealed off as explosive experts were deployed to mop up the area for possible bombs.
An investigation was launched to identify the perpetrators.
