Bahrain's public prosecution

Chief Prosecutor, Nawaf Al-Awadhi, stated that investigation led to the arrest of four persons suspected of setting fire to two cars of a parliamentary elections candidate on 20 of current October in Sitra.
He said that the four suspects admitted to committing the crime, in which they used Molotov cocktail which also caused damage to a number of neighboring parked cars. The attack came in response to the victim's nomination for the forthcoming parliamentary and municipal elections . They aimed to force him to relinquish his electoral right and then to force him to leave the residential area he lives in.
He added that the suspects are facing charges of executing criminal arson for terrorist purposes and the possession of incendiary devices.
The Public Prosecution ordered detaining the suspects pending investigation. It also ordered to summon the rest of the witnesses to hear to their testimonies.
