Qalubiya security forces reopened the Cairo-Alexandria agricultural highway that has been blocked by villagers protesting the disappearance of two missing schoolgirls.

A joint police-army force headed to the scene, ordered the crowd to leave but when they refused to comply, teargas was fired. The force put out the flames that were set by the protesters to car tires.
Traffic flow was restored on the highway.
