The Royal Saudi Air Force on Tuesday participated in airstrikes against al Qaeda splinter terrorist group of Daesh in Syria, an official source said.
"The strikes are part of the international efforts to support the Syrian moderate opposition" said Saudi Arabia's state news agency SPA.
"Operations also came for combating terrorism in order to support the Syrian people and to restore security, unity and development to the devastated country" it added.
