A roadside bomb was defused Saturday in the city of Rafah, North Sinai province with no injuries reported, well-placed sources said.
Acting upon a tip-off, security forces and sappers rushed to the scene and managed to safely defuse the explosive device, which had been planted to target police and army troops.
Investigations are underway to identify the culprits.
