Electricity police charged owners of a resort in Marsa Matrouh with stealing electricity worth EGP 1.186 million.
The Andalosia Resort owners operated a sea water desalination plant with stolen electricity, head of provincial electricity police Colonel Mohamed Samir said.
Meanwhile, Matrouh Governor said security crack downs were launched all over the province in a bid to end electricity theft.
