Qatari State Minister for Defence Affairs Maj Gen Hamad bin Ali Al-Attiyah met Algeria's Deputy Minister for National Defence and Chief of Staff of the People's National Army Lt Gen Ahmad Gaid Salah on Sunday.
The talks were meant to assess the current state of military cooperation and looking into expanding this to include "other fields that are beneficial and fruitful for the militaries of both countries," according to an Algerian military statement.
The Qatari minister had arrived in Algiers last night on a two-day visit.
