The Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, has fired rockets on Tel Aviv, Israeli cities and settlements minutes before the ceasefire came into effect.
In a statement, the Qassam said it fired a rocket on Tel Aviv and showered Israeli cities, settlements, and military sites with rockets and mortars.
Meantime, three Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip in an Israeli airstrike southern the besieged coastal enclave.
A long-term ceasefire has been agreed between Israel and the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, ending seven weeks of fighting that left more than 2,200 people - mostly Palestinians – dead.
